“Tri-color puff” – Vegetarian and Vegan Recipes from Sarala’s Kitchen

This is an easy-to-make, colorful VEGAN recipe. (No milk or Eggs)It is good for any occasion. These puffs are stuffed with potatoes. They can be good for parties or a quick snack.

Materials

  • 6 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • few drops Red Food Coloring
  • few drops Green Food Coloring
  • 2 cups Oil
  • 4 Potatoes
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seed
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Ajwain
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Annardana Powder
  • 1 tsp Amchur
  • 3 tsp Salt (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp Butter/Ghee

Instructions

  • Mix 1/3 of all-purpose flour, add Ajwain, salt to taste, and oil. Make sure dough is not too hard
  • Similarly make the dough with Red and Green color added of 1/3 of flour
  • Spread all three color dough’s separately (see Video)
  • Prepare Sata using Ghee and Maida ( see Video)
  • Apply Sata between layers of dough spread
  • Prepare Filling using Potato and various spices (see Video)
  • Spread the three-color dough and Spread again
  • Cut square Put the filling and fold in triangular shape Press the edges
  • Heat the oil in Frypan and Fry all the triangular puffs at medium heat
  • Puffs are ready Enjoy with Chutney

  • Food Colors – Red, Green Few Drops
  • Oil 2 Cups
  • Potato 4 Piece
  • Cumin seed 1 Tsp
  • Turmeric ½ Tsp
  • Coriander Powder 2 Tsp
  • Red Pepper 1 Tsp (To taste)
  • Ajwain 1 Tsp
  • Garam Masala ½ Tsp
  • Annardana Powder 1 Tsp
  • Amchur 1 Tsp
  • Salt 3 Tsp ( to taste)
  • Ghee/Butter 2 Table Spoon

Directions
